With 22 years of experience in supply chain management within the automotive sector, At Toyota Kirloskar Motor, he managed warehouse operations, optimizing inbound and outbound logistics of spare parts. His expertise includes inventory management and logistics planning, cost optimization and compliance with safety standards. He has experience in most of the after-sales (service and spare parts) operations handling, right from inventory control, supplier handling, procurement, logistics, field service, warehousing and handling projects (creating warehouses and warehouse management systems), as well as spare parts and accessories sales, along with extending support to dealers to enhance profitability by having the best operations at the dealerships in Toyota India and Thailand.
ASSIGNMENT:
To understand network (warehousing and transportation) practices for vehicles (4-wheeler) as well as spare parts/accessories associated with them. This will include different nodes in the network of various companies, operating model of yards/ warehouses, inventory mechanism, rail vs road mode of transportation, typical SLAs in the industry, automation & digitization practices associated (such as loading / unloading / storage / warehousing movement etc), ESG practices being followed for storage and transportation etc.
OUTCOME:
The consultant gave insights on 4 wheeler's supply chain network, its after sales market as well as the spare parts/accessories associated with them.
