Our client, a consulting firm was engaged on a cost reduction project for a leading real estate player in the country. The real estate firm is a part of an engineering, construction, manufacturing and financial services' conglomerate.
CONSULTANT:
Forty Six Years; hands on; invaluable experience in various disciplines of Civil engineering; ranging from Structural Designs, Construction, Project management, Design management, Contracts and Procurement relating to Luxury hotels, Shopping malls, High rise residential/ commercial premises and Infrastructure works covering railways and highways, Power stations, Water and Sewage treatment.

- Insights on Prior experience of Procurement in Real Estate Developers (Residential and Commercial projects)
- To suggest inputs on Sourcing Models, Contract Structuring, Category understanding, Supplier landscape and Value Engineering
- Technical and Commercial guidance, as well as industry best practices and competition benchmarking, on procurement of Real Estate Developer categories including (but not limited to):
• Services Packages – DG Sets, Chillers, Electrical Works, Plumbing & Health Engineering, Fire Fighting, ELVS, Ventilation
• Finishing Packages – Painting (Internal & External), Flooring, Windows, Doors
OUTCOME:
The expert successfully conducted a series of workshops on adapting best procurement practices which lead to massive cost saving opportunity for the client. The expert also worked with the consulting project team and gave various insights from his four decade long career in the real estate industry
