- The client is a SaaS platform targeting a multi billion dollar opportunity to disrupt the Ecommerce space.
- They are looking for a seasoned Tech leader to build our tech team and shape the future of the product.
- It is a layer connecting websites globally – a “Plaid for Ecommerce” which enables any brand to build partnerships/connections with others. The applications for this are many – Building Marketplaces, D2C Brand Partnerships and the Creator Economy.
- Their Marketplace offering is already launched with a vision to democratize marketplaces - similar to ONDC, but with a complimentary approach. It is currently being used by 650 merchants on Shopify across 50+ countries. They aim to rapidly scale the solution across different platforms and create a brand directory to make discovery friction less.
- It is also part of the prestigious Antler accelerator program and is currently in advanced talks with several marquee investors to raise a pre-seed round. Some of their peers globally are Getcarro, Shopcanal, Mirakl – all of which are valued over $100 mn+.

The expert and the client had a very successful engagement, where the expert solved a lot of the engineering problems and built the tech team + mentored them.
He became part of the founding team, and witnessed the 0 to 1 journey. The contract got extended in light of the success of the initial engagement.
